Fulton Miklos

Commissioner Fulton Miklos became a Field Mediator with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (“FMCS”) in 2000 , and has mediated labor disputes in numerous industries including health care, basic steel and manufacturing, hospitality and gaming services, retailing, and utilities. He has also mediated work place discrimination cases for the United States Postal Service , numerous federal agencies and in the private sector. He regularly consults and instructs employers and unions in the establishment of labor-management committees,   joint workplace initiatives, interest based bargaining, collective bargaining and contract administration.  
            Prior to his appointment with the FMCS , Mr. Miklos was employed as Manager, Employee and Labor Relations at Equitable Resources in Pittsburgh. In that role he acted as the Company’s chief spokesman during labor negotiations with the United Steelworkers of America, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and the Paper and Allied Chemical Employees in both Pittsburgh and throughout the Appalachian region. Before joining Equitable, Mr. Miklos was an associate with the management-side labor law firm of Hogg, Allen, Ryce, Norton and Blue in Coral Gables, Florida.
            Mr. Miklos received his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 1987. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from St. Francis College, Loretto, PA in 1983. and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh in 1981. In 1998, he become certified and designated as a Senior Human Resource Professional. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Florida Bar Association.
