Membership in the Pittsburgh Human Resources Association (PHRA) is open to those individuals who are either actively engaged in the professional aspects of human resources,  working in a closely associated field, or enrolled full-time in a recognized college or university’s HR, Labor Relations or related program of study. The Pittsburgh Human Resource Association is made up of individuals; it has no corporate or institutional memberships. Memberships are non-transferable.

Membership fees are "rolling". Categories and criteria are as follows:

Individual Memberships:

Persons engaged in the professional aspects of human resources.

$125 with SHRM Membership
Early Career HR Members
Persons who are HR professionals in the early stages of their career, with 0-5 years of experience.
Business Partners
Persons who are third-party consultants who sell human resources-related services to those in the human resources field, but whose services do not involve professional aspects in human resources.
Student Members
Persons who are full-time students attending a recognized college or university, are not employed on a full-time basis, and are enrolled in a prescribed program in the Human Resources or Labor Relations field; or a Society for Human Resources Management Student Chapter.
 Beyond Career Members  For any current or former PHRA member that has permanently retired from the Human Resources profession, and would like to stay active with the PHRA and continue to receive our communications.The Beyond Career Membership includes access to all member benefits at a reduced dues rate of $50. $50

Group/Bundle Memberships:
Available to all "for profit" and "not-for-profit" employers/organizations that have more than five (5) employees engaged in the professional aspects of human resources. To be eligible for Bundle Membership discounts all names must be presented together on the same invoice.  Memberships can be added throughout the year with a prorated fee to keep the membership bundle renewal date consistent.  The Early Career HR and Early Career HR Educational Bundle are not eligible for the additional discounts and will be added to the bundle after the discount has been applied.

Silver Group Member Rate Register 5-9 yearly Professional Memberships at the basic yearly dues rate
Gold Group Member Rate Register 10+ yearly Professional Memberships at the basic yearly dues rate  15%
