About the Speaker: Frasier Ives is an employee benefits compliance practice leader for USI. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, his responsibilities include managing the benefits compliance function in the eastern half of the United States in support of sales professionals with respect to the ERISA, tax, and other legal compliance needs of their customers’ health and welfare benefit plans. He has extensive experience with respect to the design, drafting, compliance, and training support for all types of retirement, health and welfare, and fringe benefit plans. In particular, he is an expert on the impact that federal health care reform will have on the employer-provided health care delivery system in the U.S.

 

Frasier joined Wells Fargo, now USI, in 2005. He worked 13 years in the tax and employee benefits practice of a large regional law firm. Then, he served as a principal and managing consultant for six years with a regional human resources consulting firm, where he maintained a broad-based retirement and welfare benefits consulting and technical support practice

 

As a frequent public speaker on a variety of employee benefits topics, Frasier is able to explain complex issues in a common sense and practical manner. Frasier earned his J.D. (cum laude) from Washington & Lee University School of Law. He earned his B.S. in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, he holds an inactive CPA license from the state of North Carolina.
