Meet the Speakers:

 

Mike Baker has 20+ years experience in the health insurance sector. He has led or helped four start-ups deliver managed care plans, consumer driven plans, benefit management carve-outs and health care technology to employers, brokers and carriers. Mike is now leveraging these experiences at USI in order to help employers manage risk, lower costs and engage employees.


Don Garlitz leads strategic partnerships at bswift (an Aetna company), an online employee benefits administration software serving over 40,000 employer groups and nine million consumers. He is responsible for growth and development of bswift’s channel partner business and for developing strategic vendor and insurance carrier partnerships. Don also oversees bswift's corporate insurance producer activity, and contributes thought leadership to the ongoing evolution of bswift’s proprietary Ask Emma decision support tool.

Prior to joining bswift, he co-authored pioneering plans related to small business health insurance exchanges, and as a result received a formal commendation from Utah Governor Gary Herbert for outstanding work as a health reform consultant. Don has worked in the insurance industry in sales roles with Beneficial Life and Aflac, and was a partner at FirstWest Benefit Solutions, an employee benefit consulting firm in the Salt Lake City metro area, which has subsequently been acquired by National Financial Partners. Don holds a BS from Brigham Young University

 

Meg Wright is a Director of Client Services at bswift, based in Chicago.  In her 5 years with bswift, Meg has focused on making bswift clients raving fans, and has dedicated much of her professional effort to the development of fellow bswifters.  Prior to bswift, she spent several years in client relationship management roles with The Hartford and SCICOM Data Services.  Meg is a leader on the bswift ACA reporting team, and contributes to the development and delivery of internal system training at bswift.
