To be eligible for the student rate, you must be a full-time student enrolled in an HR or Labor Relations program at a college or university AND/OR you are a SHRM student chapter member. Part-time graduate students working full-time are not eligible for the student rate.
Goals and Objectives:
In this presentation, learn how to avoid a hiring mistake or that work-related injury in the first months of employment. How can I ensure that my work force is able to meet job demands and be able to maintain pace and productivity expectations? Is it possible to develop a test to know that my new hire can do the job? Engage in an interactive presentation on the benefits and proper development of pre-employment post-offer testing to help determine if this type of testing could be beneficial for your business.
Participants will (be able to):
1. Gain an understanding of the benefits of pre-employment post-offer testing or job change assessments.
2. Understand the process of developing pre-employment testing.
3. Gain insight to validate and perform consistent testing with documentation as backup.
About Dennis: Dennis Martin, OTR/L, CHT is the Occupational Therapy Program Director for UPMC Centers for Rehab Services. Dennis is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist who has specialized in Industrial Rehabilitation over the past 21 years. This has included working on site in many industries to assist with environmental and staffing strategies aimed at injury prevention and return to work for the injured worker.
