Candidate experience is all about communication and relationship management throughout the interview process between candidates and HR/recruiting. Encouraging great talent to come to the organization by providing a great candidate experience allows for the overall company to have more global and cultural effectiveness both from an internal standpoint as well as an external employer branding standpoint.

About the Presenter: For almost a decade, Anessa Fike has worked in the People function at startups and larger companies alike. As Global Recruiting Director at The Motley Fool (Glassdoor's #1 Best Place to Work in 2014 and 2015), she led talent acquisition both domestically and globally to take the company from about 100 employees to more than 300 employees in a two-year span. She gathered a myriad of knowledge in nearly every function of a global People organization in that role and helped grow the People team from 4 to 16. Then, she started AF Recruiting, LLC with The Motley Fool being her first client. Over the past 5 years, she's worked with various clients on building People and HR functions within organizations from scratch, talent acquisition, employer branding, employee engagement, executive coaching, organizational development, mentorship, coaching, and finance. Her list of clients includes Uber, EverFi, Appian, Contactually, IMGE, Bellhops, and Myriad Media, and she's had interim stints as Head of HR and Talent for Automated Insights, Weejee Learning, and MATI Energy. She's also co-organized four DisruptHR locations - Pittsburgh, Miami, Houston, and Sacramento. Her mission is to help companies build or course correct to have workplace cultures that people jump out of bed to come to work to every day.
