To be eligible for the student rate, you must be a full-time student enrolled in an HR or Labor Relations program at a college or university AND/OR you are a SHRM student chapter member. Part-time graduate students working full-time are not eligible for the student rate.
Goals and Objectives
This session is designed to educate both human resources and technology professionals on how to be proactive in managing change and workforce development during a time of transition. For human resource professionals, this session provides an opportunity to position yourself as a business partner and align with your technology leader.
Leveraging a consultative approach and preparing a plan with your CIO or CTO to help navigate and transition the technology (IT) workforce prepares the organization for massive change and provides the workforce with the skills and capabilities to be successful.
About the Presenter: Cheryl Paxton-Hughes is the President of HR Imagined, LLC., where she spends her time helping organizations of all sizes to practice strategic human resource principles. Cheryl spent over 15 years in a variety of HR leadership and consulting roles and four years in an IT leadership role where she was responsible for managing the successful implementation of two major technology systems. She holds an M.B.A. from Robert Morris University and is ITIL (Information Technology Instructure Library) certified. In both of Cheryl’s previous roles she reported directly to “C” level leadership and understands how bring value to organizations by linking the people strategy to the business strategy. Cheryl is high energy and brings a no-nonsense and practical approach to her clients. In her spare time, she enjoys being a mother of three boys along with traveling, reading, swimming, and enjoying a good glass of wine with friends and family.
