To be eligible for the student rate, you must be a full-time student enrolled in an HR or Labor Relations program at a college or university AND/OR you are a SHRM student chapter member. Part-time graduate students working full-time are not eligible for the student rate.

 

Acquiring and retaining talent starts from the top – with leadership. Effective leaders create a culture that first attracts, then engages employees.

Great leaders must know how to build and maintain relationships – with their employees, with their clients and with those they encounter while representing their organization. Successful relationship management heavily involves “communication.” Leaders must understand how to communicate specific messages, what exactly they are trying to communicate and when they should communicate said messages.

This program will dive into leadership traits and also shed light on unique leadership styles.  We will discuss the importance of investing in leaders by allowing opportunities for ongoing development. Attendees will leave with relevant action items/takeaways through real-time collaboration via breakout session(s).

Jennifer Edwards has had somewhat of a unique journey leading up to the present! In 2013, after working several years in the “corporate world," she decided to make a huge leap – relocating from Pittsburgh, PA to Los Angeles, CA to explore her interest in TV hosting. Living one year in CA and accepting various hosting opportunities, Jennifer felt…empty.

While she loved the engagement with others, speaking in front of crowds, working on-camera and the gorgeous Cali weather, she knew she needed something more meaningful and fulfilling.You will not discover what you want out of life if you do not take time to explore.

After having an epiphany in CA, she created an inspirational website and her journey continued! This website led to the opening of her own company, “Jennifer Lee Life Coaching,” which over the course of 5 years has developed into Jennifer Lee Inspiration.  Jennifer created this business as a platform to provide others motivation, inspiration, encouragement and support on both a personal and professional level.
