PHRA Scholarship Fund

Companies have no greater asset than their people and the management of functions related to human resources is critical to today’s business success. In an effort to build HR leaders one member at a time, PHRA established a scholarship program that subsidizes the cost for members to participate in our SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP HR Certification Preparation.

Who is Eligible?

Active PHRA Professional, Business Partner or Emerging Career Members Only. Student members are not eligible for this program. Each scholarship is a one-time award; however previous applicants are eligible to re-apply. PHRA employees, board members of PHRA, and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

To be considered for this scholarship:

You must be preparing to sit for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification and meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the SHRM Certification Board. Review eligibility requirements here.

How to Apply:

The application includes contact information and a series of short answer questions about your volunteer experience and your career aspirations.

You will also be asked to include the following items with your completed application:

  • a current resume that includes your volunteer experience,
  • one letter of reference.

Reference letters should be addressed to the “PHRA Scholarship Review Committee” and should provide insight into your character, career and volunteer accomplishments, work ethic, values and need for the scholarship.

Incomplete submissions will NOT be considered
